Tornado Set — Song #3
Volcano Catastrophe
You may have noticed an emerging theme by now. It reads something like this. Reach for the Absolute even if it looks like oblivion. This seems to be my Modus Operandi. A key factor is courage.
This song speaks of the ability ( or lack of ability) to contain something. What is this thing I’m trying to contain?
Here are the lyrics
VOLCANO CATASTROPHE
I’m ripping apart at the seams
Me and my hold on my dreams
We’re duking it out
I’m shredded alive
I`m ripping apart at the seams
And I`m drumming on the roof of your car
Makes no difference in a rainstorm
Can’t see the stars
I do not fear that which humbles me
I’m a volcano catastrophe
When it’s messy I dent the wall with my fist
Life in a fashion
But devoid of compassion
I look into the mirror but I can’t see my light
I want to fly with all of my might
I’m a volcano catastrophe, a volcano catastrophe
I`m ripping apart at the seams
INSTRUMENTAL
The lava is hotter than hell
But make no mistake
I’m living to tell
I’m the sparkling doom of a molten perfume
I’m a volcano catastrophe, a volcano catastrophe
I`m ripping apart at the seams

I believe what I’m trying to hold is the absolute and it’s ripping me apart, physically, emotionally and mentally.
My wife and I were talking about how it currently feels like the electricity has been turned up and our containers are showing signs of stress.
Is this true of all humanity?
How about you?.
We are being called to the next orbit of our evolution. This is a Collective Rites of Passage where we must grow as a society, as a species, from adolescents into adults. Or else we don’t survive.
How is the electricity turned up in your life?
How is your container showing signs of stress?
This song is a dichotomy because it’s about ripping apart yet the music is perky and happy. I’m trying to make the most out of the catastrophe, leaning into it, having fun with it, making art of it.
How can we be in the seriousness of this Collective Trial and at the same time have fun, be creative and love ourselves and each other?
Here is a video of me playing the song.
